Accounting Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Professional to join our team. This key member of our accounting team will be responsible for performing various accounting-related functions including tax returns, bookkeeping, research, reconciliation, and budgeting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare personal and business tax returns using firm-approved software.
  • Review client books and make adjustments for year-end financial reporting.
  • Recognize and record journal entries for M-1 Adjustments.
  • Prepare uniform capitalization work papers and construction client work papers.
  • Conduct independent research on tax laws and regulations.
  • Provide accurate and complete tax returns to clients within the expected timeframe.
  • Prepare tax projections and planning tasks for clients, including determining tax liability and salary requirements.
  • Handle correspondence with taxing authorities and agencies, as well as teleconferences.
  • Perform external bookkeeping and related tasks, including adjusting balance sheets and providing QuickBooks support.
  • Review monthly and quarterly bookkeeping to ensure timely completion of client work.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a finance-related field.
  • Proficient in tax and accounting software, including Microsoft Office and QuickBooks.
  • Licensed as a certified public accountant is highly preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Aptitude in data management, analytics, and reporting preparation.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
