Business Intelligence Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our data analytics group, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing data governance frameworks, ensuring the quality, consistency, and security of our data assets.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in SQL, Python, and BI tools, with a strong understanding of cloud-based data warehouses. You will be responsible for writing feeds to collect data from external systems, transforming data into more information-rich models, and ensuring data assets are automatically monitored for performance, reliability, and availability.

In addition to your technical skills, you will be an excellent communicator, able to collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes. Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement data governance frameworks to ensure data quality, consistency, and security
  • Write feeds to collect data from external systems and transform data into more information-rich models
  • Ensure data assets are automatically monitored for performance, reliability, and availability
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes
  • Maintain and refine existing data pipelines to meet changing business needs
  • Document processes and data structures to ensure maintainability and usability

Requirements:

  • 2-5+ years experience in data engineering or analytics engineering
  • Extensive experience and expertise in SQL, Python, and BI tools
  • Experience working with cloud-based data warehouses (Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake, Databricks, etc)
  • Demonstrated experience in collaborating and supporting non-technical users
  • Autonomous, reliable, and great communication skills
