Job Title: Medical File Reviewer/PHRNJob Description:

This role involves reviewing and analyzing medical files to provide expert opinions on cases related to veteran disabilities. The successful candidate will work independently, preparing case files, Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs), and conducting remote interviews with veterans via video or telephone conference platforms.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing and bookmarking medical records to create a synopsis answering medical opinion questions based on the veteran's medical history.
  • Transcribing medical history from veteran answers in DBQs and documenting physical examination findings.
  • Completing all sections of DBQ spreadsheets after each appointment and submitting them in the client portal.
  • Meeting with medical providers to discuss assigned cases for final diagnosis approval.
  • Coordinating appointments per day and communicating effectively with team members and medical providers.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate should possess a BSN degree and active PHRN license. Good communication skills are essential to assist veterans, medical providers, and colleagues effectively. Flexibility in work schedule changes is also necessary, as well as accountability for all assigned cases.

Benefits:

This position offers flexibility in work schedule changes as needed. Proficiency in MS Office applications is required, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Additionally, the successful candidate may assist the Lead and/or Trainer in process improvement and help create process-related templates if needed.

For this remote work setup, we require a fiber connection with at least 20 Mbps download and upload speeds. A backup internet connection with minimum 15 Mbps download and upload speeds is also necessary. Main desktop/laptop specifications include Intel i5–i7 processors, 8 GB RAM, and 4th generation or newer hardware. Backup desktop/laptop specifications require Intel i3–i5 processors, 8 GB RAM, and 4th generation or newer hardware.
