Senior Financial Analyst Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to maintain financial records, prepare reports and ensure accuracy of financial information. This role requires a deeper understanding of accounting principles than a standard bookkeeper, including handling complex financial tasks.

Main Responsibilities
  • Financial Recordkeeping:
    • Maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries, reconciliations and accounts payable/receivable
    • Manage bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Financial Reporting:
    • Prepare financial statements such as balance sheets, profit and loss statements and cash flow reports
    • Assist in creating monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports for management and stakeholders
  • Tax Preparation and Compliance:
    • Assist in tax return preparation by organizing financial data and preparing documentation for external accountants
    • Ensure compliance with local, state and federal tax laws, filing necessary forms
  • Accounts Management:
    • Oversee accounts receivable and payable, ensuring timely billing and collections
    • Monitor and manage payroll, expense reimbursements and other financial obligations
  • Auditing and Internal Controls:
    • Assist in auditing processes by providing accurate financial data and supporting documents
    • Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial regulations
  • Budgeting and Forecasting:
    • Support the preparation of company budgets, forecasts and financial plans
    • Provide analysis and insights to management regarding financial performance and areas for improvement
Requirements
  • Experience: 3-5 years of senior-level financial analyst experience, preferably in a similar role
  • Software Proficiency: Experience with financial software, along with proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain accurate financial records and handle complex data analysis
  • Knowledge of GAAP: Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and relevant financial regulations
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Bookkeeper (CB) designation is a plus
  • QBO proadvisor
