Senior Learning and Development Business Analyst

Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support our Learning and Development operations with a variety of learning analytics and automation solutions. This role offers a great opportunity to work on a wide variety of learning innovations, partnering with business leaders and technology teams to improve business processes and gather and report on learning utilization and effectiveness.

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing, reviewing, forecasting, trending, and presenting information for business planning. You will conduct and manage outcomes, recommending process improvements by managing documented standard operating procedures. This includes designing, developing, and distributing L&D metrics reporting and visualization, leveraging business intelligence reporting. Additionally, you will manage learner groups or analysis, and assignment of Environmental, Occupational Health & Safety (EOHS) regulatory training in coordination with business partners or training leads.

This is a senior-level position that requires a high level of analytical thinking skills, solid relationship-building, accountability, and critical thinking skills. You must have the ability to influence without authority, be resilient, build relationships, and work effectively in a large matrix environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support Learning and Development operations with learning analytics and automation solutions.
• Analyze, review, forecast, trend, and present information for business planning.
• Conduct and manage outcomes, recommending process improvements by managing documented standard operating procedures.
• Design, develop, and distribute L&D metrics reporting and visualization, leveraging business intelligence reporting.
• Manage learner groups or analysis, and assignment of EOHS regulatory training in coordination with business partners or training leads.

Required Skills and Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree, and 8+ years of experience in business analysis, including working with internal business partners and technology leads.
* Experience in complex problem solving and process improvement, analyzing and recommending solutions.
* Experience with Microsoft Power BI business intelligence reporting and Smartsheet.
* Solid knowledge of latest innovations and emerging trends in leveraging data and providing predictive and prescriptive learning analytics.
* Proficiency with Access databases.
* Proficiency in learning management platforms (e.g., EdCast, Oracle Learning Cloud).
* Proficiency in Office 365 Suite of Tools (MS Teams and Apps, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Access, SharePoint, etc.).
* Proficiency in digital learning platforms, talent analytics tools, and change management best practices.
* Proven superior analytical thinking skills.
* Proven solid relationship-building, accountability, and critical thinking skills.
* Proven effective in collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders to deliver next-in-class analytics solutions.
* Proven solid motivation to learn and share knowledge, advocacy for building a learning culture.
* Proven solid time and project management, organizational and prioritization management skills with attention to detail.
* Proven excellent collaboration, emotional intelligence, networking, and communication (written and oral) skills, and ability to balance multiple priorities.
* Proven ability to influence without authority, resilient, build relationships, and work effectively in a large matrix environment.
