Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced IT Operations Engineer to manage and maintain our organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring system reliability, security, and efficiency.

This role will provide first-level support for hardware, network, systems, and applications while also assisting in deployments, troubleshooting, and security patching.

The engineer will play a key role in supporting digital transformation initiatives and optimizing IT operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide first-level support for hardware, software, network, and system-related issues.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to applications, servers, and network infrastructure.
  • Escalate complex issues to senior IT personnel or vendors when necessary.
  • Assist in the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of applications across development, staging, and production environments.
  • Apply security patches, updates, and bug fixes to applications and systems as needed.
  • Ensure backup and disaster recovery processes are in place and tested regularly.
  • Monitor and maintain network performance, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Assist in firewall, VPN, and access control management to enhance security.
  • Implement best practices for data security, compliance, and risk mitigation.
  • Support infrastructure automation using scripting (PowerShell, Bash, or Python).
  • Optimize system performance and proactively address potential issues.
  • Maintain and monitor IT systems using logging, alerting, and monitoring tools.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant computer science discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years of solid experience in IT operations.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux system administration.
  • Experience with network troubleshooting (DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs, firewalls).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms is a plus.
  • Understanding of IT security best practices (patching, endpoint protection, access controls).
  • Hands-on experience with IT monitoring tools.
  • Basic scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, or Python to automate tasks.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines or DevOps practices is a plus.
