Senior Operations Manager Position
Dyson is a leading technology company renowned for inventing and manufacturing high-performance products. As part of our ongoing growth, we are seeking exceptional leaders to drive excellence in outsourced manufacturing partnerships.

Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Operations Manager to oversee end-to-end factory performance, champion operational excellence, compliance with all requirements, and local regulations in health & safety, and ethical standards.
  • Strategic Operational Leadership:

Direct and manage all outsourced manufacturing operations across various categories, delivering high-mix, complex products to world-class standards.


  • Partner Engagement:

Build strong relationships with C-level executives at partner organizations. Serve as Dyson's primary contact for operational execution, escalation, and issue resolution to maintain aligned, high-performing partnerships.


  • Factory Management & Compliance:

Oversee end-to-end factory performance, ensuring compliance with all Dyson requirements and local regulations.


  • KPI & Process Management:

Define, implement, and continuously improve rigorous operational KPIs (including OTIF, quality, cost, yield, and throughput).


  • Continuous Improvement & Excellence:

Embed a culture of continuous improvement through lean manufacturing methodologies.


  • People Leadership & Capability Building:

Inspire, mentor, and develop both direct and indirect teams, fostering a people-centered leadership style.


  • Change & Risk Management:

Proactively identify, communicate, and mitigate risks arising from new product introductions, technology transfers, and process changes.


  • Stakeholder Management:

Cordinate cross-functional teams within Dyson and with external partners, ensuring seamless operational delivery and alignment with business strategies.



Key Deliverables (First 6 Months)
  • Rapidly assess and stabilize partner manufacturing output, delivering on-time, in-full results.
  • Establish best-in-class operational reporting, issue management, and escalation processes.
  • Drive measurable improvement in KPIs (quality, yield, cost, efficiency).
  • Lead continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives across all factories.
  • Ensure full compliance with Dyson's CSER, health and safety, and reporting standards.
  • Build strong, collaborative working relationships with C-level partner executives.


Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Minimum 10 years' senior leadership experience in electronics or contract manufacturing operations.
  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related technical discipline.
  • Deep proficiency in lean manufacturing methodologies.
  • Experience managing both direct and indirect teams.
  • Outstanding influencing and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Deep understanding of risk management, compliance (CSER, EHS), and process optimization in manufacturing operations.
  • People-centered leader; outstanding track record in developing talent, building inclusive cultures, and modeling best-in-class leadership behaviors.
  • Results-driven, adaptable, self-motivated, and able to excel under pressure in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Exceptional communicator with fluency in written and spoken English.
