Rework Operator

Job Summary

Under the direct supervision of Production Supervisor, the Rework/Touch-up Operator is responsible for the inspection and rework of cards found with defects.

Responsibilities:

1. Checks groundstrap at the start of the shift and log the condition of the groundstrap on the groundstrap checksheet.

2.) Wear good groundstrap to protect the cards from static energy.

3.) Performs housekeeping at the start and end of the shift.

4.) Prepares materials and tools to be used such as cotton cloth, tweezers, soldering iron, solder lead, peaklupe, jars of solvent, rubber gloves, visuals and temperature controller, jigs, flux dispenser.

5.) Checks soldering iron temperature using temperature checker at the start of the shift and records the temperature on the checksheet.

6.) Performs visual inspection of cards on component with defect before proceeding to reworking.

7.) Rework the cards with defect problems using soldering iron in accordance with standard specification and working procedure.

8.) Responsible for the soldering of the assigned components/parts needed to be manually soldered.

9.) Coordinates with Supervisors/Production Assistant in case of production problems.

10.) Attends daily meetings with the operators/inspectors, team leader, supervisor to discuss Quality performance and productivity of the shift.

11.) Performs other functions as maybe required by the superior after due training / qualification.
