Software Licensing Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Asset Management (SAM) specialist to join our team. This is a remote opportunity for an experienced professional with expertise in managing software licenses and ensuring compliance.

This role requires a strong background in SAM, as well as extensive knowledge of license management tools and software asset management practices. The ideal candidate will have experience working with enterprise software licenses, including IBM Licenses, and negotiating software licensing agreements.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Managing and optimizing software licenses within the organization to ensure compliance, cost-efficiency, and adherence to legal requirements.
  • Collaborating with procurement teams to negotiate and acquire software licenses at favorable terms and pricing.
  • Maintaining an up-to-date inventory of software licenses, tracking usage, expiration dates, and renewal requirements.
  • Identifying opportunities to reduce software licensing costs while maintaining required functionality.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, business, or a related field (master's degree preferred).
  • In-depth knowledge of software licensing models, including proprietary, open-source, and cloud-based licenses.
  • Experience working with license management tools and software asset management practices.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, as well as collaboration skills to work effectively in a global, cross-functional team.
