Job Title:

Cardiovascular Sonographer

Job Description:

As a Cardiovascular Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing echocardiograms and other diagnostic tests to help doctors diagnose and treat heart conditions.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up the ultrasound equipment and ensure it is functioning properly
  • Prepare patients for examinations and explain the procedure in a clear and concise manner
  • Operate the ultrasound machine and capture high-quality images of the patient's heart
  • Document all relevant information regarding the patient's condition and test results
  • Bill patients and submit charges to the supervisor
  • Prepare data and images for review by cardiologists
  • Evaluate and maintain the proper operating conditions of the ultrasound machine
  • Keep work areas clean and organized at all times
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as requested by supervisors and managers

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Cardiographic Technology or related field
  • Training or experience in 2D Echo preferred
  • Good clinical and technical skills
  • Computer literate
  • Excellent communication skills
