Job Overview

As a Technical Sales Professional, you will partner with Channel Account Manager/BDM to understand customer business challenges, demonstrate the value of Pure Storage solutions, and build technical credibility. This role requires a deep understanding of data storage technologies, cloud computing, and the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and business audiences.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the technical expert on Pure Storage products and solutions.
  • Partner with Channel Account Manager/BDM to qualify opportunities, develop sales strategies, and respond to RFPs/RFIs.
  • Conduct compelling product demonstrations and presentations, highlighting the value proposition and addressing customer needs.
  • Deliver technical presentations and workshops to customers, partners, and internal audiences.
  • Analyze competitive solutions and articulate Pure Storage's differentiators.
  • Manage and execute Proof-of-Concept (POC) projects, ensuring successful implementation and demonstrating value.
  • Build and maintain strong technical relationships with customer stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and engineering, to ensure customer success.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Sales Engineer, Systems Engineer, or similar technical role in the data storage industry.
  • Strong understanding of data storage technologies, including SAN, NAS, object storage, and data protection.
  • Familiarity with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
