Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical professional to fill the role of Real Estate Analyst. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing critical support to our finance team, analyzing financial data, and generating reports to inform business decisions.

Responsibilities
  • Weekly Funding Report: Generate funding reports to track cash flow and ensure liquidity compliance.
  • Monthly Reports: Develop and distribute monthly liquidity statements, monitor liquidity compliance, perform multifamily replacement reserves analysis, prepare multifamily monthly market comparison reports, and update economic occupancy reports.
  • Quarterly/Year-end Loan Compliance Reporting: Create loan compliance reports for major lending partners.
  • Quarterly Ground Lease Reporting: Monitor ground lessee reporting compliance, perform financial variance analysis, and generate reports as needed.
  • Yardi Reports: Prepare and distribute Yardi reports for asset managers, property managers, and other stakeholders, including rent rolls, income statements, budgets, tenancy schedules, and more.
  • Loan Financing/Refinancing: Coordinate underwriting processes for loan requests, prepare executive summaries, review due diligence requirements, and update LoanBoss records.
  • Yearly Budget: Provide training on Yardi software, review and prepare annual budgets, and oversee budget preparation for multifamily, general ledger, and office suites.
  • 1031 Exchange: Identify replacement and relinquished properties, calculate estimated deferred tax gains or losses, and determine property tax basis.
  • Acquisitions/Dispositions: Oversee due diligence, closing documents, and exchange setup with First American Exchange Company.
  • Summary Of Acquisitions, Dispositions, Financing And 1031 Exchanges: Maintain accurate records of acquisitions, dispositions, financing, and 1031 exchanges, and update sold properties' internal rate of return calculations.
  • Property Tax Basis: Update and maintain quarterly property tax basis records.
  • LoanBoss: Ensure accuracy and integrity of loan information in LoanBoss.
  • Special Reports: Request draws from line of credit facilities, update company presentation materials, calculate transaction gains or losses, and provide other reports as requested by management.
Qualifications
  • Graduate degree from an esteemed institution with Latin honors.
  • Bachelor's degree in real estate, finance, or accounting is preferred.
  • MBA degree is highly desirable.
  • 2-5 years of experience in real estate asset management and/or acquisitions.
  • Background in top consulting firms or financial institutions.
  • Proficiency in underwriting and analyzing real estate opportunities.
  • Advanced Excel modeling skills are essential.
  • Strong quantitative skills, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to produce high-quality work products under tight deadlines with minimal oversight.
  • Unquestionable integrity and ethics.
