Financial Professional Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Financial Professional to join our team. This role will involve a range of financial tasks, including account reconciliation, analysis and preparation of financial reports.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

">
  • Contribute to the month-end close process by preparing journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules on a timely basis.">
  • Assist with consolidations, including reviewing domestic and foreign subsidiary financials, eliminations and financial statement reports in NetSuite for external reporting compliance.">
  • Manage business travel and expense platforms, ensuring policy compliance and accurate coding of all transactions.">
  • Maintain fixed asset subledgers and propose additions and disposals.">
  • Analyze and provide commentary on monthly Balance Sheet and P&L account balances.">
  • Support the billing department during month-end close and ensure payments are processed timely and purchase order exceptions are resolved.">
  • Interact cross-functionally with department managers to support accounting team goals.">
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of critical accounting policies.">
  • Support the annual financial statement audit by providing supporting documentation and responding promptly and accurately to audit team inquiries.">
  • Assist with system implementations, technical accounting analysis and projects as needed.">
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and drive efficiency and streamline processes.">

Requirements:

">
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting or CPA certification.">
  • Proficient understanding of US GAAP and technical accounting.">
  • Minimum 2-4 years of General Ledger accounting experience, including account reconciliation and analysis.">
  • Experience in month-end processes.">
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.">
  • Flexibility and willingness to pitch in with assorted tasks as they arise.">
  • Proficient with MS Office, including Excel and Word.">
  • Willingness to work Pacific Time Zone hours.">

Preferred Skills:

  • CPA certification a plus.">
  • Public accounting experience with a global firm a plus.">
  • Experience working with external audit firms.">
  • Experience with financial statement preparation.">
  • International accounting experience, including consolidations and accounting for foreign currency transactions and gains/losses.">
  • Experience with systems such as NetSuite, Coupa and FloQast.">
  • Experience in the mining industry and manufacturing.">
