As a Healthcare Documentation Specialist, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently documenting comprehensive home health assessments in electronic medical records. This role is perfect for individuals with a strong background in healthcare documentation and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete pre-charting on comprehensive home health assessments in electronic medical records.
- Assist with post-charting by accurately documenting clinical notes and required details.
- Ensure that documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with nurses to support the review and finalization of patient records.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient health information according to HIPAA guidelines.
- Stay up-to-date with home health documentation requirements and best practices.
Requirements:
- Education: Associate's degree or higher in a healthcare-related field preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Medical Scribe or similar role.
- Prior experience in home health documentation required.
- Proficiency with electronic medical record systems strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of home health processes, including OASIS and care planning.
- Excellent written communication and data entry skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in medical documentation.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
