Job Description

The ideal Architect is a self-motivated professional with expertise in ADU feasibility, site planning, architectural design, and permitting.

This fast-paced role requires managing projects independently while collaborating with a remote team through project reviews, process improvements, and daily communication.

The primary focus is on accessory dwelling units (ADUs) including attached, detached, garage conversions, townhouses, and condoization, requiring proficiency in Revit and/or AutoCAD.

  • Design responsibilities include modeling existing spaces using Revit from point cloud data, developing conceptual floor plans, elevations, and renderings, participating in brainstorming sessions, and supporting senior architects with concept development and technical drawings.
  • Documentation responsibilities include researching building codes, zoning laws, materials, and sustainability standards, communicating with city planning and engineering officials, staying current with architectural trends and technologies, drafting and revising specifications, construction drawings, and technical documents.
  • Tasks related to client and team collaboration include attending and contributing to client meetings, presenting design concepts and progress, coordinating with consultants, contractors, and internal team members to meet project requirements.

Essential qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in Architecture, 3+ years of experience in a multi-client architectural environment, proven ability to prepare detailed construction documents, strong proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD, experience modeling from point clouds in Revit, expertise in Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace, and experience creating 2D/3D renderings and animation.
