Financial Business Expert

At our organization, we are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated financial business expert to join our dynamic team. This multi-disciplinary position will encompass finance, human resources, legal, and information technology responsibilities.
Responsibilities- Finance Operations Management
- Manage complex billing processes, including multi-tiered pricing structures, contract billing, and subscription management across multiple client segments.
- Ensure accurate revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606 and other applicable accounting standards.
- Review and analyze customer contracts to ensure proper billing setup and revenue recognition treatment.
- Financial Reporting and Data Analysis
- Drive comprehensive monthly and quarterly financial reports for executive leadership and board presentations.
- Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) for billing operations (Collection Rate and Cash Conversion Cycle), expense margins, and revenue trends.
- Conduct detailed analysis of budget-to-actual variances for revenue streams and provide actionable insights to management.
- Lead revenue forecasting activities and provide critical input for annual budgeting processes.
- Accounts Receivable and Payable Management
- Manage AR processes, aging reports, and collection strategies to optimize cash flow.
- Oversee AP operations, vendor payments, and expense management systems.
- Continuously improve collections strategies and policies, working closely with teams to optimize cash flow.
- Audit and Compliance Oversight
- Design and implement billing-related internal controls to ensure accuracy, compliance, and fraud prevention.
- Serve as primary point of contact for billing-related audit activities, both internal and external.
- Ensure all financial practices comply with company policies, accounting standards, SOX requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
- Human Resources Support Services
- Own recruitment efforts for open positions, including job posting development, candidate screening, and interview coordination.
- Design and oversee onboarding programs for new team members.
- Support HR initiatives related to employee performance tracking and development.
- Legal Compliance and Coordination Activities
- Monitor changes in accounting standards and regulations affecting revenue recognition and billing practices.
- Ensure all billing practices comply with contractual obligations and regulatory guidelines.
- Coordinate with legal counsel and management to develop and maintain company policies and procedures.
- Information Technology Solutions
- Lead the optimization and maintenance of billing systems, coordinating with IT on system upgrades and implementations.
- Evaluate and recommend billing software, automation tools, and integration opportunities.
- Lead or support major system implementations, upgrades, or integrations affecting billing operations.
