Functional Coordinator

About the Role

The Functional Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring seamless operations within an organization. This individual will be responsible for gathering and briefing requirements from various business units, while serving as a key liaison between these units and technical teams.

Key responsibilities include validating issues raised by business units, escalating where necessary, and managing the daily workload of the functional support team. Strong project management and stakeholder management skills are essential for success in this position.

A strong understanding of product architecture and end-to-end processes is also required, as well as the ability to identify whether an issue is likely to be configuration or technical in nature.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with internal customers, eCommerce systems, and technical issues. They must be able to take ownership of technical problems and ensure the right team is involved in diagnosis, providing regular updates back to the relevant parties.

In addition to the above skills, the successful candidate will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as experience working with digital product teams and software development lifecycles.

  • Stakeholder Management: Ability to build strong relationships with business stakeholders and technical teams
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in eCommerce systems, software development lifecycles, and technical troubleshooting
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information effectively
