Procurement Associate Job Description

This role involves managing contracts, maintaining project trackers, and coordinating with stakeholders on upcoming contract renewals. You will be responsible for documenting process improvements, supporting cost modeling, and collaborating with risk, compliance, and IT teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the calendar of contract renewals with a 36-month rolling horizon.
  • Maintain the project and savings tracker for all procurement activities.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders on upcoming contract renewals, including meetings, documentation, and feedback.
  • Document and recommend process improvements for procurement engagement, purchasing, and lifecycle management.
  • Support cost modeling for business cases and assist in software negotiations and vendor communications.
  • Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, and IT on supplier due diligence, financial risk rating, and SaaS subscription optimization.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field; equivalent work experience considered.
  • 2 to 3 years' experience in purchasing, procurement, or vendor management.
  • Skilled in MS Excel, spreadsheets, procurement systems/tools, data analysis, reporting, and vendor performance tracking.
  • Strong communication skills, able to engage with senior leaders and C-Suite executives, with clear written and verbal English.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple priorities, and presenting persuasive arguments using numerical modeling.
  • Plus: experience with SaaS subscription/software cost drivers, business process mapping, and change management/process improvement (ADKAR, Lean, Six Sigma, Kubler-Ross)
