Commissary Operations Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Commissary Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our commissary, including food production, logistics, inventory management, and quality control.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of production staff, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality products.
  • Develop and implement production schedules, quality standards, and inventory management systems.
  • Monitor inventory levels, coordinate with procurement for raw materials, and ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
  • Oversee personnel performance, schedules, and shift allocations, providing coaching and guidance as needed.
  • Analyze operational efficiency and implement improvements to reduce costs and improve productivity.
  • Collaborate with sales and retail departments to align production volume with demand.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Technology, Business Management, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in commissary or food production operations.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and food safety regulations.
  • Proficient in inventory and operations software.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Mastery of supply chain management principles and practices.
  • Experience with Lean manufacturing methodologies.
  • Familiarity with SAP or other enterprise resource planning systems.
