Linux Technical Support Specialist

This is a globally remote role where you will work from home to provide technical support for employees.
You will be responsible for handling customer inquiries, troubleshooting technical issues, and providing solutions. Your expertise in Linux and open-source technologies will be crucial in delivering exceptional customer service.
As a Linux Technical Support Specialist, you will be the first point of contact for customers experiencing technical difficulties. You will need to have excellent communication skills to effectively understand and resolve their problems.
We are looking for someone with a passion for Linux and a strong understanding of technical concepts. If you have experience working with virtualized environments, networking protocols, or cloud computing, that's a plus
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support via telephone, email, and web
- Triage and resolve customer issues in a timely manner
- Document and maintain knowledge base articles
- Collaborate with senior engineers on complex cases
- Maintain regular communication with the team
Requirements:
- Exceptional academic track record and relevant degree
- Confidence in speaking up and sharing ideas
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to learn quickly and handle pressure
- Experience with Linux troubleshooting and knowledge of technical concepts
