Job Description

The role of a Senior Operations Manager is to oversee the daily operations of a business unit, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing teams, leading by example, and maintaining high morale and loyalty.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering accurate data to produce forecasts
  • Developing realistic budgets
  • Ensuring consistent financial follow-up

Additionally, the Senior Operations Manager will be responsible for:

  • Defining needs for Team Leader recruitment in conjunction with HR
  • Leading Team Leader development and support, and defining Team Leader training needs
  • Setting and following up on quality and quantity targets for allocated clients/projects
  • Ensuring employee satisfaction is high and attrition is low within the allocated production unit
  • Developing and maintaining effective performance management
  • Leading by example
  • Maintaining a sound plan of corporate organization
  • Working with Human Resources to establish policies that ensure adequate management development and succession

The Senior Operations Manager will also be responsible for:

  • Understanding price structure and profitability goals of the business
  • Communicating and understanding price structures with every member of the business unit
  • Proactively responding to variances in targets and service levels
  • Preparing and/or supporting preparation for commercial negotiations
  • Ensuring profitability is calculated accurately prior to agreement and all costs are accounted for
  • Planning and implementing expansions to current business and new businesses
  • Driving negotiations toward agreement with covered risks and profit objectives
  • Ensuring revenue streams cover committed costs where possible
  • Maintaining a positive relationship with clients by building a bridge and evaluating growth opportunities
  • Growing revenue from existing clients and participating in securing new business; facilitating internal and client business reviews
  • Ensuring client satisfaction through continuous business improvements
  • Seeking to increase client revenue and develop a partnership
  • Strategic alliance with client marketing strategies, culture, regulations, and market trends
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • University degree or equivalent higher qualification

Experience requirements include:

  • Leading an operations team specific to customer service (Healthcare)
  • Having a keen eye for detail and being able to identify trends from data; providing insight and being well-versed in RCA
  • Working in a performance-driven environment
  • Being proficient in dealing with clients and understanding client needs
  • Familiarity with managing teams
