Job Title: Procurement Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing and negotiating prices, recommending suppliers, and maintaining records to ensure purchases meet specific requirements.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Establish specifications, scheduling, and negotiate pricing with suppliers to achieve optimal results.
  • Evaluate vendors based on service level and best pricing to ensure value for money.
  • Initiate and assist in the study, testing, and launching of new or improved products to enhance our offerings.
  • Continually source new and better alternative supply sources to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Maintain current stock levels by keeping inventory within safety stock and target quantity levels to minimize waste and excess.
  • Negotiate for fair and reasonable prices, monitor price trends, and ensure product costs are maintained at their optimum level to maximize profit margins.
  • Assist and coordinate with other divisions/departments in establishing systems and procedures to ensure seamless operations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Economics, or Accounting is preferred.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in procurement is required.
  • Good command of English language; ability to communicate effectively with other divisions, departments, contractors, and suppliers is essential.
  • Able to perform in-depth cost analysis and make quick, objective, and logical decisions is crucial.
  • Willingness to work in a hybrid set-up is necessary.
