As a Senior Backend Developer, you will design, build, and optimize the robust backend systems and APIs behind high-performing applications. You will work with Python, SQL, and AWS to deliver scalable solutions while exploring geospatial data and observability tools.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend systems and APIs built for speed and growth.
  • Build and manage secure, reliable, and efficient public-facing APIs.
  • Owning CI/CD pipelines that power continuous integration and deployment.
  • Implement best-in-class monitoring and observability with tools like Datadog or New Relic.
  • Partner with frontend developers, product teams, and stakeholders to align backend architecture with business goals.
Requirements:
  • You have 5+ years of backend development experience, building and scaling public-facing APIs.
  • You code in Python like a pro, with solid experience in Flask or FastAPI.
  • You are highly skilled in SQL and PostgreSQL, and ideally PostGIS for geospatial data.
  • You bring experience with spatial mapping tools (like Mapbox) or GIS concepts.
Bonus Skills:
  • Familiarity with geospatial data formats such as GeoJSON, shapefiles, or KMZ.
  • Understanding telecom or utility network planning and deployment workflows.
  • Experience with frontend frameworks such as React, Vue, or Angular (a plus).
