System Engineer Position

As a System Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our systems. Your primary responsibility will be to bridge the gap between development and operations, applying software engineering principles to service management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage pipeline build and maintenance according to client standards.
  • Participate in the software development lifecycle to ensure solutions meet availability, performance, security, and maintainability standards.
  • Monitor system metrics and health, analyze reports to identify areas for improvement.
  • Support production and in-house systems; participate in on-call support to ensure seamless operations.
  • Lead incident management, conduct root cause analysis, and perform post-incident reviews to improve response times and effectiveness.
  • Implement system security and resiliency measures to protect against potential threats.
  • Improve processes within the organization by identifying areas for optimization and implementing changes as needed.
  • Monitor ISO 8583 financial transaction messages in a 4-party payment model to ensure accurate and secure transactions.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in a related field.
  • Mandatory card payment domain knowledge is required.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins) and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, PCF) is essential.
  • Knowledge of NoSQL & SQL databases (MongoDB, Oracle, Postgres) and experience managing distributed systems and microservices are highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with Unix tooling and scripting skills is necessary.
  • Experience with monitoring tools (Splunk, Dynatrace) and proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, Go, or similar is required.
  • Understanding of SLOs and SLAs is essential for this position.
  • Previous experience in SRE/DevOps teams and understanding of the associated principles is highly desirable.
  • Strong initiative, communication, and collaboration skills are necessary to succeed in this role.
