This role requires an expert in finance leadership who can architect a cutting-edge financial ecosystem that fuels multiple education businesses during their hypergrowth phases.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of executive finance leadership with comprehensive oversight of all finance functions, including strategic documentation and system optimization. They should be able to effectively collaborate with the senior leadership team to influence expansion strategies, budget frameworks, and vendor relationships.

A successful candidate will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of engaging at an executive level. They should also have superior knowledge of US GAAP and integrated financial reporting, as well as extensive experience optimizing and managing ERP platforms.

The Division CFO will design and implement a streamlined financial infrastructure that maximizes scalability and impact while eliminating inefficiency. They will craft and evolve a cutting-edge AI-integrated financial ecosystem supporting rapidly scaling educational ventures, authoring strategic Design Decisions that revolutionize and streamline critical financial processes, and provide expert written feedback on Deep Dives and Improvement Plans to enhance logical frameworks and train both AI systems and human colleagues.

Key responsibilities include orchestrating seamless large-scale financial operations across tuition management, audit processes, and tax compliance, and engaging in strategic discussions focused on budgeting, market expansion, vendor partnerships, and regulatory adherence. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, not micromanaging, and will push essential tasks upward, exemplifying ownership and leadership.

Responsibilities are driven by operational, rather than traditional finance needs. This position demands someone who is familiar with optimizing complex financial structures for institutions undergoing rapid growth. Stronger skills in business development, finance, and engineering make this a fantastic opportunity for those passionate about these areas.

Essential qualifications for the role include professional financial certification, minimum 10 years of progressive finance leadership positions, and a proven track record of executive finance leadership with comprehensive oversight of all finance functions. Other requirements include superior knowledge of US GAAP and integrated financial reporting, extensive experience optimizing and managing ERP platforms, and successfully managed or participated in at least 5 external audits with Big 4 accounting firms.

Nice-to-have qualifications include knowledge of U.S. K-12 education frameworks, track record of developing finance automation solutions or AI-enhanced workflows, and background in financial operations across multiple entities and jurisdictions.

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $200 USD/hour, which equates to $400,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
