Job Opportunity: Geospatial Developer

This role offers the chance to work with market-leading technology, supporting our Customer Operations division. The ideal candidate will be at the intersection of software development and operations, creating innovative solutions that drive efficiency.

The successful candidate will design, develop, and maintain internal tools and automation systems that streamline workflows for our operations teams and enhance the customer experience.

  • Design and develop internal tools and scripts using Python to support operations workflows.
  • Develop and optimize ETL processes for spatial data into relational databases like PostgreSQL/PostGIS.
  • Automate data transformation and processing pipelines to improve efficiency and maintainability.
  • Collaborate with operations and product teams to identify opportunities for tool development and automation.
  • Troubleshoot and support internal tools and workflows in production and development environments.
  • Ensure code quality through version control, testing, code reviews, and comprehensive documentation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a relevant engineering field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in Python development.
  • Hands-on experience with geospatial tools such as QGIS, GIS libraries like GDAL/OGR, Shapely, or GeoPandas.
  • Demonstrated experience in scripting and automating data processing tasks.
  • Proficient in SQL and relational databases, with a preference for PostgreSQL and PostGIS.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and ability to work independently.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.

Prior experience in an operations-facing role or in developing internal tooling is desirable. Familiarity with cloud environments and CI/CD pipeline workflows is also beneficial.
