Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Controller to join our leadership team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in financial management, reporting, and analysis, with the ability to drive financial strategy and provide executive-level insights to support business growth and decision-making.

The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of financial operations including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Payroll management, lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes with accuracy and timeliness, and prepare and present comprehensive financial statements, management reports, and board-level presentations.

Responsibilities
  • Financial Management & Reporting
    • Manage financial operations, including AP, AR, and payroll, to ensure compliance and accuracy
    • Lead financial close processes with precision and timeliness
    • Develop and maintain financial controls, policies, and procedures to mitigate risk and ensure compliance
  • Strategic Analysis & Planning
    • Provide strategic financial analysis and recommendations to executive leadership
    • Develop sophisticated financial models and pro forma analyses for business initiatives, product launches, and strategic investments
    • Conduct profitability analysis by product line, customer segment, and business unit
  • Systems Integration & Process Optimization
    • Ensure seamless integration of inventory management, e-commerce platforms, and payment systems with the general ledger
    • Lead ERP system optimization and financial system implementations
    • Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability
  • Compliance & Risk Management
    • Manage relationships with external auditors, tax professionals, and regulatory bodies
    • Ensure compliance with US GAAP, tax regulations, and reporting requirements
    • Oversee internal controls and SOX compliance (if applicable)
  • Team Leadership & Development
    • Lead and mentor finance team members, fostering professional growth and development
    • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, sales, marketing, and executive teams
    • Provide financial training and support to non-finance departments
    Requirements
    • Education & Certifications
      • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
      • CPA certification strongly preferred
      • Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or MBA preferred
    • Experience
      • Minimum 7-10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience
      • At least 3-5 years in a Controller or senior financial management role
      • Experience in e-commerce, retail, or inventory-based businesses strongly preferred
