
Healthcare Payment Specialist

This is a unique chance to join our team as a skilled professional in managing payment-related tasks, including researching unapplied accounts, reviewing payment issues, and posting payor deposits. The representative will also be responsible for reconciling bank and special accounts, communicating with insurance companies, and resolving variances with reconciliation reps.
Main Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough research and clear Unapplied Accounts using established Identification function/process.
- Review and resolve all payment-related issues via email or work desk, providing timely and effective communication to stakeholders.
- Process payor deposits, payment corrections, payment transfers, inter-facility transfers, CAP payments, and payroll deductions, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Reconcile bank and special accounts by researching, transferring payments, or issuing refunds, maintaining a high level of precision and attention to detail.
- Communicate with insurance companies to obtain EOBs and missing information, facilitating smooth payment processing.
- Collaborate with business partners to resolve unidentified accounts, utilizing established Identification function/process to ensure timely resolution.
- Work closely with Reconciliation reps to resolve variances and unidentified accounts, maintaining open communication channels.
- Identify and reconcile owner-to-owner refunds, tracking and logging refund transactions between owners.
- Pursue Special Projects to completion, demonstrating initiative and a commitment to excellence.
- Support colleagues in resolving unidentified accounts, including Forward Balance for all facilities, and maintain aging inventory within 90 days, promoting a culture of accountability and teamwork.
- Analyze account details and monitor postings/transfers, ensuring seamless payment processing.
- Ability to interpret remit language and understand payor behavior, making informed decisions.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to changing situations.
