Your Role as Payroll Administrator
As a Payroll Administrator, you'll be responsible for ensuring every payroll run is accurate, timely, and compliant with Australian legislation. You'll handle everything from time and attendance data to payroll queries, all while supporting the Accounts Team.
Key Responsibilities
- Process weekly payroll functions, including end-to-end payroll processing, terminations, adjustments, and classification changes.
- Ensure compliance with Employment Agreements (EA), statutory requirements, and legislation, including PAYG, Superannuation, and other statutory payments.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, leave records, and payroll documentation.
- Administer payroll inquiries and maintain the Payroll Inbox to resolve issues within service timeframes.
- Participate in weekly Payroll Review Meetings and provide regular updates to the Group Payroll Manager.
- Support the Accounts Team with Accounts Payable tasks, including rent, COGS, and general AP.
- Continuously improve payroll processes and procedures to align with business goals.
Requirements and Qualifications
We seek a candidate with 2-3 years of experience in payroll and/or administration functions, coupled with a strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation, including tax and superannuation. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, is also essential.
