Part-Time Accounts Payable Specialist

Job Description:

As a detail-oriented and proactive Part-Time Accounts Payable Specialist, you will support finance operations in a remote role.

  • Process 10–15 invoices during the first week of each month to ensure timely and accurate entry into accounting systems.
  • Handle ~5 invoices weekly for the remainder of the month by coding, approving, and entering them in a timely manner.
  • Record and manage bills in QuickBooks Online to maintain accurate vendor records.
  • Manage payment scheduling and assist with expense management platforms to track transactions and approvals.
  • Perform accrual processing and ensure all AP transactions are properly recorded for financial reporting.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong experience with QuickBooks Online to efficiently process and record AP transactions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, formatting, etc.) to analyze and present financial data.
  • Solid understanding of Accounts Payable, month-end closing, and accrual accounting principles.
