Remote Junior Accountant Job Description

As a Junior Accountant, you will be responsible for handling full-cycle bookkeeping, providing valuable insights, and utilizing your strong analytical skills to drive success. This role is perfect for individuals with a passion for accounting and finance who are eager to take ownership and grow professionally.

This job requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, payroll, and financial statements. You should have proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and familiarity with full-cycle bookkeeping. Experience with cloud-based bookkeeping software such as QuickBooks Online, XERO, or Yardi is preferred.

You will work directly with clients to obtain documentation and other information, ensuring timely delivery and tracking, meeting all milestones. Additionally, you will maintain client confidentiality and professional communication at all times with team members, clients, vendors, and third parties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Record keeping used for management reporting and other analytical reports
  • Management of A/R, A/P, and/or invoicing
  • Assist in client planning, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Preparation of client's monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements, month-end close processes, journal entries, monthly reconciliations, financial reporting, etc.
