Job Summary

The Utility Team Lead will manage and mentor a team of Utility Engineers, ensuring high-quality inspections and data accuracy within the electric utility sector. This role involves overseeing the cataloging of utility assets, identifying equipment issues and potential hazards, and collaborating with utility companies to meet project goals and deliverables.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of Utility Engineers, ensuring high-quality inspections and data accuracy.
  • Oversee the cataloging of utility assets and identification of equipment issues or hazards.
  • Ensure the quality control of work packages and compliance with project standards.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and training to junior engineers.
  • Collaborate with utility companies to ensure project goals and deliverables are met.
  • Work closely with internal teams to align data accuracy with industry standards.
  • Stay updated on industry standards, regulations, and best practices to enhance operational effectiveness.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the electric utility field is preferred.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
  • Proficient computer skills with good written and oral communication abilities.
  • Working knowledge of national engineering standards, utility construction standards, and best industry engineering practices is desirable.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Ability to work remotely and coordinate effectively with a distributed workforce.
  • Enthusiasm for learning and applying new technologies within the utility sector.
