Job Description

In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for meticulously inspecting and analyzing overhead electrical infrastructure to guarantee the precision and reliability of utility asset datasets. Your expertise will be instrumental in cataloging utility assets, identifying potential faults and hazards, and contributing to the enhancement of utility services and reliability.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Analyzing and cataloging overhead utility assets to ensure consistent, high-quality data collection
  • Developing a deep understanding of electrical utility equipment, faults, and potential hazards
  • Assisting in developing and maintaining utility asset datasets to support operational improvements
  • Collaborating closely with internal teams to ensure data accuracy and alignment with industry standards
  • Working collaboratively with stakeholders to support safe and efficient project execution
  • Staying updated on industry standards, regulations, and best practices to enhance operational effectiveness
  • Participating in training programs to enhance technical knowledge and skill development
Required Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this position, you will require:

  • 1-3 years of experience as a lineman in the electric utility field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient computer skills with good written and oral communication abilities
  • Nice-to-have: Working knowledge of the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC), national engineering standards, utility construction standards, and best industry engineering practices
  • Excellent organizational skills and the flexibility to manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work
  • Ability to work remotely and coordinate effectively with a distributed workforce
  • Enthusiasm for learning and applying new technologies within the utility sector
