Senior Financial Operations Specialist

We seek a skilled Financial Operations Specialist to join our team. This is a dynamic role that requires the ability to maintain accurate financial records, streamline transaction processing, and support key automation initiatives using QuickBooks Online (QBO) and other financial tools.
The ideal candidate will be highly detail-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable wearing many hats in a fast-paced environment. Experience in retail bookkeeping is highly preferred, and you must be ready to jump in, lighten the team's load, and make a meaningful impact through operational excellence and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:- Record and categorize daily financial transactions in QuickBooks Online (QBO) accurately.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions, including invoice entry, payments, and reconciliations.
- Maintain an organized and up-to-date general ledger.
- Reconcile bank and credit card accounts regularly, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Provide retail accounting support, including inventory tracking, cost-of-goods-sold (COGS) allocations, and POS system integration.
- Assist with the financial nuances of jewelry sales, returns, and vendor purchasing.
- Utilize Bill.com to process and manage vendor payments efficiently and support payroll administration in coordination with internal systems and external providers.
- Assist with reporting and financial analysis tasks, including generating financial statements (P&L, balance sheets, cash flow) and identifying trends for cost optimization or revenue improvement.
- Collaborate with the finance team to support forecasting and budgeting efforts.
- Contribute to technology and automation initiatives, including automating workflows using QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Excel, or other integrated tools; recommend and implement improvements to streamline bookkeeping operations; stay up to date on financial technology to support a lean and efficient team.
