Job Summary

The Accounting Team Lead plays a pivotal role in overseeing and managing various accounting functions. This key position is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial reporting, adherence to accounting standards, and maintaining the overall financial health of the organization.

This high-level accounting professional must possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, as they will be interacting with internal stakeholders and external clients. Proficiency in Excel is also essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the monthly closing process, ensuring timely completion and accuracy of financial reports.
  • Perform month-end closing processes, including journal entries for certain accounting cycles, and review significant journal entries.
  • Review monthly balance sheet reconciliations to guarantee asset balances are properly supported and liabilities adequately reflect obligations.
  • Reconcile specific balance sheet accounts and prepare/review client-impacting reports, such as passthrough expenses and escrow balances.
  • Analyze workflows and suggest process improvements and efficiencies to enhance organizational performance.
  • Prepare and review monthly and quarterly variance analysis to ensure alignment with established benchmarks.
Requirements:
  • Candidate must hold a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy degree.
  • Minimum three years of experience in corporate accounting, preferably with supervisory responsibilities.
  • CPA certification is highly desirable.
  • In-depth knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) is necessary.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, are required.
  • Attention to detail is crucial for this role.
  • Proficiency in Excel and ability to work with minimal supervision are essential.
  • Must be highly organized, with excellent multitasking skills and the ability to prioritize activities effectively.
  • Must be proactive, motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work collaboratively as part of a team.
