Technical Support Specialist

Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Technical Support Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing technical support to customers via telephone and email
  • Performing on-site troubleshooting, service, and repairs
  • Evaluating malfunctioning instruments and preparing estimates for the cost of repair
  • Selling maintenance contracts to customers and creating Service Contract Quotations in the CRM
  • Performing factory calibrations (ISO 17025, if required)
  • Providing on-site training to customers
  • Completing administrative tasks associated with the CRM Service module to log all Support Tickets and Service Orders in the CRM Service
  • Taking responsibility for personal warehouse/stock
  • Forwarding sales opportunities to Sales Representatives when instruments need to be replaced
  • Attending all necessary Anton Paar service trainings for relevant product lines
Requirements:
  • Good communication skills and strong customer service skills are a must for this position
  • Direct experience in analytical instruments is a plus
  • This position requires a highly motivated individual capable of completing assigned tasks with little to no supervision
  • A Bachelor's degree in Electric or Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or another technical discipline is required
  • The ability to work with electronic schematics, test equipment, and tools for repairs is essential
  • Preferred candidates will have at least three years' experience in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining complex analytical instruments
  • A valid driver's license and passport are required
