Part-time Accountant Opportunity

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized part-time accountant to perform various accounting tasks.

  • Billing & Invoicing:
    • Generate accurate customer invoices on time.
    • Ensure compliance with tax regulations.
    • Maintain proper documentation of all billing records.
  • Accounts Payable:
    • Process supplier invoices, credit notes, and payments.
    • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
    • Manage payment schedules and ensure timely disbursement.
  • Accounts Receivable:
    • Process supplier invoices, credit notes, and payments.
    • Monitor customer accounts for delayed payments.
    • Prepare aging reports and escalate overdue accounts.
  • Debt Follow-Up:
    • Contact clients with overdue invoices via phone or email.
    • Maintain a log of collection activities and customer communications.
    • Collaborate with sales or legal teams on complex or delinquent accounts.
  • Reconciliation:
    • Perform regular reconciliations of bank statements, ledgers, and sub-ledgers.
    • Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies.

The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in accounting software. Intermediate to advanced Excel skills are also required.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a similar accounting or finance role.
  • Solid understanding of billing, AP/AR, and reconciliation processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Working Conditions:

This is a part-time position with a flexible schedule. The selected candidate will work from home with occasional virtual meetings.
