">Construction Estimator

This is a challenging opportunity to work as a Construction Estimator, where you will be responsible for reviewing plans, performing takeoffs and creating detailed estimates of scope.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Gather and organize all available project information.
  • Analyze data to identify missing or conflicting scope details that affect constructability.
  • Perform quantity takeoffs for commercial construction projects, covering aspects such as demolition, asphalt, concrete, masonry, steel, framing, HVAC, plumbing, electrical components and conduit/wire.
  • Collaborate with the project management team to review construction documents, provide input and resolve issues.
  • Create digital takeoffs using software, highlighting the scope of work.
  • Estimate material, labor and equipment costs required to complete projects using Microsoft Excel.
  • Bailliate well with the project team and communicate effectively.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Degree in construction, engineering, business management/finance/accounting or related fields preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials and techniques.
  • Commercial construction experience across multiple trades is an advantage.
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications and renderings.
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills and ability to produce high-quality work.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and electronic takeoff software.
  • Critical thinking, problem-solving and multitasking abilities.
