Job Summary

The position of Cloud Infrastructure Specialist requires a skilled technologist to manage and operate cloud-native systems and services. This includes deployments, monitoring, and maintenance through established tools.

The incumbent will work closely with the engineering team to develop automation solutions and execute operations projects. They will also provide support for DevSecOps tools, cloud automation, critical business applications, and platforms.

  • Supports infrastructure-as-code scripts and continuously monitors the industry landscape to improve speed to market and team autonomy.
  • Executes established automation for updates and participates in incident response and root cause analysis.
  • Provides guidance on enabling and managing end-to-end availability and performance of mission-critical services.

This role involves building automation to eliminate waste and manual/repetitive tasks, preventing problem recurrence, and responding to service alerts and condition metrics.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage Kubernetes clusters in Azure and AWS, including cluster management, upgrades, security policies, and application deployment with Argo CD.
  2. Execute infrastructure-as-code automation with Terraform and perform tasks aligned to projects in the operations space.
  3. Promote a continuous improvement culture across teams and build relationships with corporate infrastructure leads.
Requirements
  • Working knowledge of infrastructure operations and engineering concepts in AWS and Azure, IT tools, and scripting languages.
  • Strategic problem solving, analytical, and decision-making ability with a sense of urgency and demonstrated experience in a production environment.
  • Experience building, maintaining, monitoring, logging, and optimizing cloud-native business solutions.
  • Experience with Terraform, Kubernetes environments (AKS/EKS), GitHub Actions libraries, and scripting languages.
