Job Description

Our organization seeks a highly skilled Senior Financial Specialist to prepare and review personal income tax returns for individuals. This involves declaring income from all sources, inputting dividends, distributions, and franking credits, as well as allowable deductions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review personal income tax returns for individuals
  • Ensure accurate declaration of income from all sources
  • Input dividends, distributions, and franking credits correctly
  • Calculate allowable deductions and apply them appropriately
  • Prepare business schedules and reconcile income and expenses accurately
  • Prepare rental schedules, including depreciation schedules
  • Prepare motor vehicle schedules and calculate capital gains on asset disposal
  • Review financial statements, tax returns, and instalment activity statements regularly
  • Reconcile bank, loan, and GST-related items carefully
  • Prepare monthly management reports to facilitate informed decision-making
  • Regularly update client records with accurate and up-to-date information
  • Compile documents and workpapers in accordance with professional standards
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy or related field
  • Professional License (Passed Board License Exam)
  • At least 3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a multi-client service environment
  • Experience with cloud accounting software, such as Xero or Sage HandiTax
  • Proven track record of providing high-quality accounting services to clients
  • Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Dynamic personality and enthusiasm for continuous learning and professional development
