Job Title: Tax Accountant

The role of a Tax Accountant involves supporting the tax compliance team in ensuring proper tax reporting, compliance with government requirements, and coordination with internal and external parties to address tax-related issues. This position entails assisting in tax filings, audits, permits, and reportorial obligations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Identifying and analyzing different aspects of company operations and applicable tax criteria.
  • Developing and maintaining contact with external and internal parties to ensure appropriate and timely resolution of tax issues.
  • Providing guidance on tax compliance requirements to Finance, Accounting, and Operating departments.
  • Partnering with the Tax Compliance team to manage tax risks and improve tax-related processes across the group of companies.
  • Assisting in implementing corrective actions to address audit findings and collating tax liabilities in coordination with the Treasury Department.
  • Ensuring compliance with tax and reportorial requirements set by regulatory agencies.
  • Maintaining documentation related to transactions, including collation of all documents supporting tax returns.
  • Preparing, reconciling, and filing of monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns.
  • Coodinating with financial accountants to resolve discrepancies noted between tax returns and accounting records.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Preferably a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
  • Knowledgeable in SAP and/or Netsuite.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing tax reporting requirements.
  • Detail-oriented with advanced Excel skills.
