AR Supervisor

">Job Description:">
  • Lead a team of staff and manage day-to-day activities, including supervision, hiring, training, scheduling, monitoring performance, and conducting evaluations.
  • Maintain a work environment that motivates growth and stimulates subordinates.
  • Interact with internal and external resources at multiple levels.
Responsibilities and Duties:">
  • Oversee daily activities of subordinates, monitor production, schedule tasks, manage time and attendance, ensure appropriate coverage, and maintain equipment functionality.
  • Respond to email and phone messages, complete daily accounts, and maintain proficiency in system platforms.
  • Review quality of staff work efforts and perform quality control checks.
  • Monitor cash flow, aging, and resolve issues related to delayed account payments.
  • Identify and escalate unresolved issues to the AR Collections Manager.
  • Approve daily adjustments and assist staff in resolving claims.
  • Ensure accounts are properly adjudicated and report variances to relevant parties.
  • Communicate payor trends and issues to relevant parties and maintain desk inventories.

  • Advanced knowledge of healthcare A/R and Patient Financial Services operations.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Medicare regulations and HIPAA compliance.
  • Ability to provide advanced customer service and train/coach staff.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
