We're seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Specialist to support technology needs and deliver solutions in an ICT consultancy environment. This role involves automation, scripting, and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) to enhance delivery and implementation of cloud-based projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support automation and scripting tasks to streamline project delivery.
  • Implement cloud-based infrastructure using IaC tools and DevOps practices.
  • Collaborate with implementation teams to ensure project deadlines are met.
  • Conduct performance testing, disaster recovery simulations, and solution validation.
  • Integrate monitoring and high availability requirements with operations teams.
  • Create and maintain documentation of automation processes and technical solutions.
  • Provide guidance and knowledge sharing to support teams.
  • Adhere to internal IT policies, security standards, and governance frameworks.
Qualifications and Skills

Required:

  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services (e.g., Virtual Machines, Azure SQL, Automation Accounts).
  • Familiarity with automation and IaC tools such as Terraform, Puppet, or Pulumi.
  • Proficiency in scripting with PowerShell and/or Python.
  • Experience with Windows Server OS, Active Directory, and DSC/ARM templates.
  • Working knowledge of SQL Server and SQL Azure.
  • Version control, branching, and code review best practices.
  • Ability to work in global teams and 24x7 service environments.
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn new technologies.

Preferred:

  • Background in delivering automation and infrastructure solutions based on client requirements.
  • Experience creating production-ready scripts and tools for deployment or monitoring.
  • Familiarity with cloud governance and compliance principles.
