JOB SUMMARY

The Cloud DevOps Architect is responsible for the assessment, design, and engineering of DevOps solutions in complex technology environments. Design and build DevOps technical solutions for cloud-native, cloud-enabled, and on-prem infrastructure with microservices or traditional application patterns. The DevOps Architect also designs and implements DevOps strategies to streamline software development and deployment processes, fostering collaboration between development and operations teams. They focus on creating and optimizing CI/CD pipelines, automating infrastructure, and ensuring robust system reliability and security.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

General Responsibilities


• Assess, design, and implement DevOps solutions in complex and dynamic technology environments.


• Develop DevOps architectures for cloud-native, cloud-enabled, microservices-based, or traditional application models.


• Act as a subject matter expert (SME) in DevOps, providing guidance on tools, best practices, and methodologies.


• Lead and manage the DevOps team to ensure efficiency, effectiveness, and continuous improvement.


• Evaluate and recommend tools and technologies that enhance the DevOps process and infrastructure.


• Perform the functions and responsibilities of the Cloud Administration Development Manager when the position is vacant. Design and Implementation

Design and Implementation


• Develop and implement DevOps strategies, frameworks, and tools to optimize software development and deployment pipelines.

CI/CD Pipelines


• Create, maintain, and optimize continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to automate the software release process.

Infrastructure Automation


• Design and implement solutions for automating infrastructure provisioning and management, ensuring efficient and scalable environments.

Monitoring and Logging


• Implement robust monitoring and logging systems to track system performance, identify issues, and ensure system reliability.

System Reliability and Security


• Ensure that systems are reliable, secure, and compliant with relevant standards and regulations.

Best Practices and Mentoring


• Advocate for DevOps methodologies and best practices to improve team collaboration, productivity, and efficiency.


• Mentor team members on DevOps principles and practices, fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

The Cloud DevOps Architect is accountable for the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of scalable, secure, and efficient DevOps solutions that support the organization's software development and deployment processes. This role ensures the reliability of cloud infrastructure, the effectiveness of CI/CD pipelines, and adherence to DevOps best practices. The Cloud DevOps Architect is also responsible for mentoring the DevOps team, driving automation, and aligning infrastructure strategies with business objectives. High system availability, operational efficiency, secure configurations, and strong cross-team collaboration are key outcomes expected from this role.

Requirements


• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, BS Information Technology or any related course.


• At least 3 years of working experience as Cloud Architect or Cloud Engineer with proven skills in managing a Cloud Infrastructure Team, preferably in a Fintech or Financial Industry.


• Above average management skill, Experience on Cloud Tools, Cloud Infrastructure Administration, Technical skills in the development cycle and operations skills for maintenance and support, Collaboration skill, Communication skills, Problem-solving skills and able to perform multi-tasking.

Technical Requirements:

1. Cloud Infrastructure and Platform Expertise (AWS, Azure, GCP)

2. CI/CD Pipeline Design and Management

3. Infrastructure Automation and Scripting

4. Monitoring, Logging, and System Reliability

5. DevOps Tools Proficiency (e.g., Jenkins, Ansible, ELK)
