Content Developer

As a key member of our publishing team, you will play a pivotal role in the development and promotion of our titles. The ideal candidate will have exceptional organizational skills and the ability to work collaboratively with creatives.

The Content Developer is responsible for managing projects from concept to publication, coordinating with freelancers, and monitoring project timelines to ensure timely completion. Key responsibilities include:

  • Project Coordination:
    • Assist in developing children's books from inception to print-ready manuscript
    • Collaborate with illustrators, ghostwriters, and other freelancers to achieve project goals
    • Monitor and manage project deadlines to guarantee on-time delivery
  • Content Support:
    • Review and provide constructive feedback on drafts
    • Organize and maintain accurate records of book-related files and documentation
  • Marketing & Advertising Assistance:
    • Support promotional efforts by preparing content for listings and coordinating outreach activities
    • Help develop and execute marketing campaigns across online platforms
  • Publishing Support:
    • Research best practices for self-publishing platforms (e.g., Amazon KDP)
    • Assist in formatting manuscripts for publication and track royalties as needed
  • Requirements:
    • Must have at least 1 year experience in publishing, editorial support, or project coordination in a creative field (children's publishing is advantageous)
    • Strong organizational and communication skills are essential
    • Experience collaborating with creatives such as illustrators and writers is vital
    • Self-motivated individual with a proactive and problem-solving mindset is required
    • Comfortable working independently in a dynamic environment
    • Familiarity with children's book content and trends is beneficial
  • Nice-to-Have:
    • Knowledge of publishing platforms like KDP or IngramSpark would be an asset
    • Experience with graphic design tools or basic book formatting would be beneficial
    • Background in marketing or social media promotion for creative products would be advantageous
