Job description:
The Bookkeeper is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring timely processing of transactions, and supporting both the General Accounting and Treasury sections. The role involves handling accounts payable, payroll processing, government remittances, and cash disbursement documentation. This position is ideal for candidates looking to start a career in accounting and finance.
Responsibilities
General Accounting Section:
● Process and record supplier invoices in the accounting system.
● Maintain the Accounts Payable Books of Accounts to ensure completeness and accuracy.
● Process office payroll in coordination with HR and ensure compliance with internal policies. ● Prepare and file monthly remittances for statutory government contributions and loans (e.g., SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and BIR).
Treasury Section:
● Prepare check vouchers, telegraphic transfer forms, and manager's check applications.
● Upload and schedule transactions through online banking platforms.
● Maintain the Cash Disbursement Books of Accounts, ensuring all payments are properly documented and recorded.
QUALIFICATIONS:
● Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, or a related business course.
● Fresh graduates are welcome to apply; internship or on-the-job training experience is an advantage.
● Entry level position
● Basic knowledge of accounting principles and Philippine government remittances.
● Proficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with accounting software is a plus. ● Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
● Good organizational and time management skills.
● Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
