Job Summary:

The External Legal Services Section Head will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the External Legal Services Section, including administrative control and supervision over staff. The successful candidate will also approve all pleadings, correspondences, and documents released by the department.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Performs administrative control and supervision over the staff of External Legal Services Section (ELSS).
  2. Supervises the day-to-day operations of the External Legal Services Section.
  3. Approves all pleadings, correspondences, memoranda, requests, and other documents that are released or issued by the department.
  4. Convenes and presides over regular meetings of the External Legal Services Section to discuss deliverables, projects, issues, and other concerns of the department for appropriate action.
  5. Drafts letters, memoranda, and other documents as may be required by the External Services and Asset Recovery Department.
  6. Generates regular monthly reports showing the status of accreditation, service agreements, and cases for endorsed performance evaluation and coordination meetings with ELCs as well as expense reports of ELSS and submitted to ELSARDH every first Friday of the month.
  7. Manages and maintains the ELSS calendar which shall indicate the schedule of coordination meetings of ELCs, submission of requirements of ELCs, distribution and submission of performance evaluation of ELC, or termination of External Legal Services Agreement (ELSA) and regular section meetings of ELSS.
  8. In charge of endorsement of cases to an accredited ECL in accordance with PPOLS.
  9. Performs all other related functions as may be assigned by management from time to time.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in business, legal, or a related field.
  2. Significant experience in legal, asset recovery, collections, or leasing operations, with demonstrated leadership experience in a supervisory role.
  3. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  4. Strong leadership and management abilities.
  5. Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  6. Proficient in MS Office applications.
