Job Title

We are seeking an experienced Proofreader to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of grammar, punctuation, and spelling, as well as a keen eye for detail. They will be responsible for reviewing manuscripts for errors and inconsistencies, and ensuring that each story delivers with clarity and heart.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proofread manuscripts for grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors.
  • Maintain consistency in voice, formatting, and dialogue flow.
  • Double-check continuity across POVs, timelines, and character details.
  • Flag potential errors or inconsistencies for review.
  • Provide actionable feedback through tracked changes, editorial notes, and occasional calls.
  • Juggle multiple projects while meeting production deadlines.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of professional proofreading/copyediting experience.
  • Advanced command of grammar, punctuation, spelling, and formatting.
  • Eye for detail and deep respect for the genre's pacing and emotional beats.
  • Organized, reliable, and able to balance multiple manuscripts at once.
