Partner Sales Director - Global System Integrator

Canonical, a pioneering tech firm at the forefront of the global move to open source, is seeking a skilled Partner Sales Director to work closely with Global System Integrators (GSI) throughout their sales cycles and across their sales organizations. The ideal candidate will facilitate Ubuntu based solutions and opportunities, as well as help GSI build long term digital transformation platforms with Ubuntu stacks and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build strategic relationships with partners at all levels, focusing on stickiness with Ubuntu technology.
  • Develop a deep understanding of Linux and cloud software ecosystem, as well as open source selling models.
  • Negotiate contracts and commercial business terms effectively.
  • Gain in-depth knowledge of partner organizations and sales models, particularly with Global System Integrators.
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales engineering, and product management to deliver on targets and objectives, while providing a voice of the partner.
  • Lead executive interlocks between partners and Canonical leadership team members.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in alliance or indirect sales management roles.
  • Strong expertise in OpenStack, virtualization, containers, and other Cloud technologies.
  • Ambitious, disciplined, hands-on mentality with a strong ability to get things done.
  • Capturing customer requirements, evaluating gaps, identifying, and creating opportunities.
  • Passion for Ubuntu products and mission.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced and high-pressure environments with ambitious achievement goals.
