We are seeking a skilled Senior Database Developer to join our data team. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and agile individual looking to grow and learn in a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing SSIS projects to handle ETL, transmission, encryption, and archiving of files received and generated.
  • Tuning and optimizing SQL databases for performance.
  • Designing, developing, and maintaining database tables, stored procedures, and supporting objects.
  • Building and supporting operational reports for the company and clients.
  • Working with the data team to provide operational support and resolve recurring problems.
  • Documenting database topology, architecture, processes, and procedures.
  • Developing SQL queries and supporting ad hoc requests for data.
  • Assisting with capacity planning and resource expansion through data aggregation and analysis.
  • Collaborating with project managers to ensure that reports and metrics identify business needs and opportunities for process improvement.

In order to succeed in this role, the ideal candidate will have:

  • A four-year degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
  • Minimum five years working as a Database engineer or a related role.
  • Minimum of three years SSIS experience.
  • Minimum of two years' experience with C# and/or VB.NET.
  • Thorough understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices.
  • Ability to write and troubleshoot SQL code and design stored procedures, functions, tables, views, triggers, indexes, and constraints.
  • Extensive knowledge of MS SQL Server 2012 or later.
  • Experience with C# and/or VB.NET.
  • Technical knowledge of MS SQL Server internals with emphasis on query performance.
  • Knowledge and know-how to troubleshoot potential issues; experience with best practices around database operations.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to multi-task with several complex and demanding Projects.
